everything you need to see in the city is possible within this excursion. tickets are assigned via email, for the train, for the bus, for the castle. my train was late because there was some fault on the track, so instead of 11:20, I arrived at 12:00. I immediately went to Calton Hill. when I finished the tour at 12:50, I got off the bus, and in consultation with the driver I realized that I was better off walking to the castle (if I took the bus I wouldn't make it), because the ticket for the castle is determined with the exact time. from there I also walked around the sights. everything can be reached. enough time. the train is comfortable, fast. the castle is beautiful

Tara was extremely good at imparting information that you would not get from just looking at the artwork. She encouraged us to view the art in different ways. Tara was also excellent at engaging with the young members of the group especially encouraging the 10 year old from Spain who gave us her own views on a painting she had studied at school!

My trip with David as my guide was great. He was so funny and gave great background information for each town we went to. The towns are small, so I think you have plenty of time in each location. Overall, I would definitely recommend. And a tip for prospective tour-takers, if you book a week day, the coffee shop is open long before the tour meet time!
