Snowmobiling was one of the best experiences myself and partner has done. The team were amazing everything was explained great and it was cool to see inside of an ice cave. On top of the glacier is just breathtaking and beautiful it’s an amazing way to experience being on a snowmobile with the sun setting. A big thanks to Peter who works there he was incredible from start to finish on the tour. Unfortunately the bus had broken down on the way home but he handed everything so well and professional. Peter even drove us to our tour that night for the northern lights as we missed our bus due to everything that happened I couldn’t thank him enough that he was so kind and thoughtful to get us to see the northern lights that night and he didn’t even know but him doing that my partner was able to propose to me that was the biggest surprise so to have that story and someone to help make a special moment happen. Thank you again we will most definitely be doing this tour when we visit again.

Immerse yourself in the majestic natural beauty of Langjökull Glacier with an exhilarating snowmobile ride. Enjoy a roundtrip hotel transfer from Reykjavík and embark on a guided tour of this breathtaking location, with the chance to explore an incredible translucent ice cave.

Start the day with a transfer from Reykjavík to Skjól, located between Geysir Geothermal Area and Gullfoss Waterfall. Climb aboard a super truck and begin your journey to Langjökull Glacier, with views of Eiríksjökull Glacier, Hofsjökull Glacier, and the Kerlingafjöll Mountains.

Allow your glacier guide to outfit you with all the necessary gear, provide safety instructions, and give you the basics of snowmobile driving before setting off on an awe-inspiring ride across the glacier, reaching heights of 1,450 meters above sea level.

As you race across this remarkably white glacier, Langjökull, feel the anticipation of approaching a natural ice cave. Inside the cave, encounter a dazzling blue ice ceiling that resembles a flowing river, set against the backdrop of uniquely striped white ice, formed by layers of volcanic ash.

Upon exiting the ice cave, find your snowmobile ready to transport you back to the base camp. Finally, return you to Skjól for the ride back to your hotel.
