What people are saying about Windsor
Wonderful tour with outstanding tour guide
What a wonderful tour to get outside the city of London. We had a lovely gentleman and about 6 other people in the group to take the train from London to Windsor. I truly believe the guide makes or breaks an activity and our guide was very knowledgeable. As far as his task, he met us at the train station, talked to us on the train, and walked around Windsor briefly before sending us on our merry way inside the Windsor Castle. From there, you have an audio guide of the castle and estate. Very nice! Took about 2 hours and then we had time to explore the surrounding area. We had an open ending train ticket back to London which was nice to know that there was time to spare in order to enjoy the quaint area. Plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy. Had such a lovely time there that I would even consider staying in that area if traveling to London again!
The trip was super interesting and well-run. Guide was excellent!
This trip was run with high energy, which was what was needed to see all 3 sites. Although it was an 11-hour day, there was a great mix of down time on the bus and activity at the locations. The guide Tom was super-knowledgeable and very likeable, and the driver (Andy?) was great. The technology provided (radio and audio guide) worked flawlessly and enabled perfect communication. Tom did a bi-lingual tour and he was very comfortable in both languages. I would highly recommend this tour and this team.
It wasn't GetYourGuide or the buses fault, but it was too damn hot!
The weather is an important part of being a tourist. When it's too hot, it's unbearable, and when it's wet, you just get wet. I enjoy the commentary on the bus, and the sights I saw whilst on the bus, that was lovely and worth the long trip getting out there. I did not know that I had to pay extra for the train to get out there and could not use my Oyster card. That information would have been helpful. Luckily the ticketing officer sold me the correct ticket on the train.
Excellent, educative, humorous and interesting
Our guide, Rowen, was amazing. She had a unique sense of humor which overrode the gloomy weather. We learned a lot during the tour. She was very friendly and interesting. The children (age 13+) also enjoyed. The driver, Jane, drove very carefully so we felt safe. It was just not clear at the beginning where the exact meeting point was, so we had to phone a representative, which was a bit stressful although we arrived half an hour before time.
Peter was a spectacular guide! He was very knowledgeable and funny!
This was a great way to get a taste of all three sites. We had about 2 hours at each stop. Peter, our guide, gave us tips as we reached each spot to help us see the most important sites at each stop. Peter also regaled is with important, and some fun, information and London and each stop. It was a lovely day and I would book again!
