What People Are Saying About London
Was able to get on an earlier scheduled tour immediately, no waiting, tour was efficient and fun, good interaction between guide and the group. Was expecting the small mobile screen to be used more, perhaps opportunities there, but not disappointed.
This was a very informative Blue Badge guided tour of the major show courts together with the press and interview areas. The Museum was interesting and very well done. Everything you could possibly want to know about the evolution of the game and a highlight was John McEnroe reminiscing about the major players before and during his playing career.
Never been before but it brought to life a long held interest in Wimbledon but my wife and I lived too far away to attend. Always watch the 2 weeks' play on TV which we can now visualize where the commentators sit and also where the players enter the various courts from their changing rooms. This visit was a treat from my son and daughter for my wife's 80th birthday, and we kept up with all the other tour members, even though we had several steep steps to climb - it was so worth it.
Price was acceptable, wembley tour was very interesting and we learn something new. But the best thing on this tour was our guide. We saw his pasion and pleasure for Wembley stadion. He was also very fun and we really enjoyed it.
The tour guide John was very knowledgeable and amusing and whilst all the memorabilia and history is interesting, the quality of the guide really made the difference, particularly with his anecdotes and some less well known facts about the history of the ground, the protocols & rules and the players.
