South East England: Tours & Tickets

This was a neat place to visit. We learned about the Globe back in grade 12, and I've always been interested in visiting! Glad we did!

We were able to visit quite a few places that we might otherwise have not seen- a great opportunity; as well as the ones we had planned on going to.

It was the TV documentary on the raising of the Mary Rose which inspired my visit and I was not disappointed. The museum caters for young and old alike. The guides were very helpful and gave me a great deal of information. Lifts and seats made visits pleasant for the elderly. The exhibits were displayed in a variety of manners with imagination. The ship's doctor at work was of particular interest, also the musical instruments (which could be heard playing )and the huge longbows with a film of an archer in action. Also fascinating was seeing the drying out process of the wreck. This is a museum worth revisiting.

Excellent all around. Well worth the money.even on days of bad weather some of which has been the worst in years .all the staff were bright . cheerful. Helpful. And friendly.
