Paul and Marcela were amazing guides, always willing and available to answer all questions. When they mention the initial transport with pick-up at our hotel, it's not really true that it's possible, because when we put our hotel in the area indicated on the site, despite saying that our hotel is eligible, after confirmation they send information saying that it isn't and send a nearest pick-up point. The justification they give is that our tour, being by bus, couldn't go to the center of Playa del Carmen, which isn't true either, as the pick-up is done in a 7-person van, and there are thousands of them passing through the center of Playa del Carmen. So, it wasn't very pleasant for us because our tour had a pick-up at 5:35 am, and we had to walk down the street in Playa del Carmen at dawn, even though our hotel was initially eligible for direct pick-up. Everything else went really well: the guides, tours, lunch, and Valladolid were a 10!

Day overall was great! Chichen Itza was amazing to see, and the cenote was also great. Overall its great to see so much in one day, but it is a long day so bring water/snacks! The tour guide Kevin was good at making the bus journey interesting and interactive about Mayan history. Jorge the drive was also great and very safe. We did have a slight issue with the transport, where the tour company tried to charge us extra for hotel pick up, despite it being in the approved zone. But we raised with GetMyGuide who quickly refunded the extra fee. The hotel pick up is also a bit of a faff, as you get taken to the meeting point, to then be transfer to another bigger coach. But once you're on the way its fine.

Our guides were Frank and Rey and driver was Eddy. We had an amazing day, the communication between the guides and our group was efficient and we were given detailed instructions throughout. The guides were knowledgeable, entertaining and a good sense of humour. You could tell they cared about what they did and wanted us to have the best day we could. We fit in a lot into one day but it also didn’t feel like too much. Everything was organised and there was no hassle. Would really recommend this tour, the guides shared history in a captivating way and we enjoyed the day as well as learning a lot about Mayan history. Thank you all :)
