Riviera Maya: Sian Kaan Boat Trip Adventure
- Small group
- Pickup available
- Duration: 10 hours
What an amazing trip that was! After a perfect pickup we all started going in the natural park with the bus for a short while and then went on with the boat. The first sight didnt took long to arrive. Manatees! We've been pretty lucky to see manatees, turtles, dolphines, crocodiles, a huge manta and a wide variety of fish and birds. The most amazing thing about this trip is that it is completely environmental friendly. All the guides respect the park and their animals. Even more important: you are going to see all those astonishing creatures in their real environment. Thats much better than locking them up in a zoo, of course. The downsight: no guarantee to see all the animals. We have been more than lucky though. Special thanks to our guide Ursula who gave us this amazing tour!
Amazing adventure! I’ve been traveling to Q Roo and the Yucatán for 20 years and this was my first trip to Sian Ka’an. Mexico Ka’an was professional and always put our safety first. Our guide, Ursula, was so passionate and educated on the history, flora and fauna of the area, and out boat captain, Oscar, knew the wildlife habitat like his own home. We saw crocodiles, manatees, rays, dolphins, turtles, so many bird species and even a nurse shark - all in their own habitats. If you really want to get off the grid into nature for a day, I highly recommend this tour with this tour company. So worth it!
It was so nice having a guide that was super knowledgeable about Mayan culture and history. Javier and the entire team were all nice and helpful. We loved going through the Rivera Maya and getting to float around in the river, I could do that all day. And the cenote was beautiful. It was just the right amount of time and we ended at lunch. I would do this all over again because it was super convenient and we were with people who know the area.
We were able to see "live"corral, some fish and a wonderful canote. Our guide,Pluma, was very informative.Pluma dealt with humanity's connection with nature.(The circle of life and spiritual essence of our surroundings of nature.)...i.e.-respect and co-operation with nature. Our small group was treated to a nice lunch of burritos...as well as,sharing some pamphlets on the flora and fauna of the region. All in all a worthwhile trip.
We had a nice day on the catamaran. Pickup and drop-off were timely and not too crowded. The sea was really rough so we didn't get to go to the reef but they found a quiet protected cove for us to do some snorkeling in and the food was great. They kept the drinks flowing and we really enjoyed the day.
