Start with pickup from your accommodation in Katowice and travel to Moszna Castle, a historic residence built in the mid 18th century as a baroque palace. Begin the tour with an overview of the exterior of the castle. Note the unique fusion of various architectural styles, including Neo-Gothic and Neo-Renaissance. Take a stroll through the gardens as you listen to your guide share fascinating insight into the history of the castle and the Tiele-Wienckler family that used to live there.
After your introduction, head inside the castle for a look at its impressive interior. Wander through the castle’s rich chambers, including the ballroom, mirror room, great library, gallery, and the Count’s room. As you explore, get a better understanding of the castle’s former residents and what life here might have been like. Climb up to the castle’s tower to admire the fantastic views of the surrounding mountain landscapes.
Later, visit the nearby village of Plawniowice, home to a magnificent palace bursting with fairytale charm. Soak up the tranquil atmosphere of the palace’s beautiful gardens, full of flowers, trees, and plants. Spend some time marvelling at the palace’s ornate architecture, as well as its array of sculptures and towers. At the end of a magical and insightful tour, enjoy drop-off back to your accommodation.
