Savour the perfect British roast with a Tandoori twist in a cooking class with your chef and food influencer, Zainab Pirzada of Cooking with Zainab. Enjoy a delicious fusion feast and learn how spices can transform your every day cooking, while playing with the authentic flavours of South Asia.
You'll be greeted with a welcome drink and meet your chef, Zainab. Then, learn more about spices, from widely used cinnamon and cumin to lesser-known mustard seeds. Smell ground spices and discover the differences between wheat flour and chickpea flour (gram flour), which is used extensively in Pakistan.
Together with your cooking partner, recreate one of Zainab’s most popular recipes, her spinach pakoras with tangy tamarind chutney. First, watch Zainab demonstrate how to make the pakoras, before picking up your apron and creating this tasty Pakistani dish under her guidance.
Finally, feast on your delicious pakoras along with chili-brined and tamarind glazed chicken, slow-cooked tandoori lamb shoulder, and whole roasted tandoori cauliflower with saffron rice, plus much more.
