Where should you start your tour?
For your visit we recommend starting at the "Nordbahnhof" train station. This is the closest point to the visitor center. From there the memorial stretches 1.4 kilometers along the former border strip on the west and east side of the Bernauer Straße. If you start at the Nordbahnhof, listen to the guide in its current order.
You can also start on the opposite side at the "Bernauer Straße" train station for a slightly shorter section of the Wall, but with the central memorial stations. Or you start at the "Eberswalder Straße" train station and walk towards "Nordbahnhof" for the entire section. If you start at the "Bernauer Straße" or "Eberswalder Straße" listen to the first episode and then move to the last episode and backwards from there, according to the memorial stations you will visit.
