Best day from our 2weeks trip to Bulgaria! The attractions we visited were really interesting and the way everything was presented from our guide Kiril was absolutely stunning! We could not have wished for a better tour, a better guide and a better day! We were adapting the agenda towards what was interesting for us and we saw and experienced so much more than we were even wishing for! We did some tours during this trip also with other local tour operators which were also great, however this one was THE ONE! Thank you so much for taking such good care of us and we will definently come back for more! Can only recommend!!

Velko was a perfect guide. He was intelligent, interesting and had a real enthusiasm for his work. The caves were great. The first a huge cavern where we explored the valley and walked to a very old tiny monastery. The second was an awe inspiring cave full of dramatic stalactites and stalagmites. Lunch was an authentic Bulgarian affair - can recommend the beef soup! The monastery was on a remote hill and was very atmospheric. We went at the end of March and we had all the attractions to ourselves. Highly recommend.

Full description

Benefit from pick-up at your hotel or accommodation in Sofia, and then take a scenic drive through the Balkan Mountains to arrive at the Iskar Gorge near the village of Karlukovo. Go for a 1.5-hour nature hike on arrival to explore the natural phenomenon of the Prohodna cave. Learn why the locals call it the Eyes of God. Journey through the largest cave passage in Bulgaria, and then continue to the Sueva dupka cave, where 5 halls and 400 meters of corridors reveal some of the most beautiful stalagmite formations in Bulgaria. Continue in the afternoon with a visit to the 13th-century Glozhene Monastery, perched like a bird’s nest on the northern slopes of the Stara Planina mountain. Take in the beauty of the natural surroundings before returning to Sofia in the late afternoon. Get dropped off at your hotel or accommodation on arrival.

Wow wow wow. This trip made our holiday ! Can’t say enough about George - what a guy ! So knowledgeable and a beautiful soul ! George took us off the beaten track with a beautiful hike to the eyes god cave - such an adventure ! Nectari the black monk at the monastery was so hospitable and the stalactites and mites in the Saeva Dupka was unbelievable- this tour is incredible 10/10. George’s kindness showed us how warm Bulgarians are ! Most enjoyable moment - all of it. Loved watching the bouldering in the caves. This is an absolute must of a trip - top top notch. Can’t say enough. Book book book this one
