Full description
Join this guided tour to explore the 3 wine regions of Paarl, Franschhoek, and Stellenbosch. Be treated with cheese and snacks, a wine tasting with cellar tour in the Stellenbosch wine region. From there head into Stellenbosch for a walk around the historic town before we head over the HelsHoogte Mountain pass into the Franschhoek valley. We enjoy a second wine pairing at our wine estate in the valley and see the village of Franschhoek itself. Enjoy a photo stop at the Drakenstein Prison (where Mandela was released form) and head to Paarl and the wine estate located in the Paarl wine region for an afternoon (3rd) wine tasting with a sweet and decadent wine pairing. Sit under the trees and enjoy the vineyards for some time before heading back to Cape Town. Your knowledge wine guide will entertain you and inform you about the history of wine in South Africa and highlight points of interest along the way.

It was absolutely worth every penny. This tour offers not only a variety of delightful wines but also a unique and exceptional tasting experience. A standout moment was at the Penderberg Estate, where we indulged in wine tastings paired with candy floss. This unusual combination was surprisingly delightful and made the visit to Penderberg a memorable one. Regarding lunch, it's worth noting that while it is optional, it seems almost integrated into the day's itinerary. Given that everyone is seated for wine tasting followed by lunch, opting out might feel a bit awkward. A special shoutout to our guide, Charles, whose knowledge and humor greatly enriched our tour, and to Neo, our driver, for his excellent driving skills. Both made the tour not just educational but also incredibly fun. I would recommend this activity to anyone looking for an enjoyable and unique experience

Pick up at the agreed meeting point worked. The guide and driver were very friendly. We liked the wine from the first winery (Perdeberg) best, it was served with cotton candy in various flavors and chocolate. Unfortunately we neglected to buy wine there. We didn't think much of the wine on the 2nd day, although that's of course a matter of taste. There we were only served 4 wines instead of the 5 described, along with bread and oil. The short walk through Stellenbosch was quite nice. At the third stop there was a cheese platter with crackers for wine tasting. All in all, a successful trip with a fair price-performance ratio.

Great guide and driver who were first class. The trip was a little misleading in that more time was spent traveling and walking around small towns than actually wine tasting, we did not even get the opportunity to see the processing facilities just drink a little of the finished product!
