Live an adventure on El Caminito del Rey and walk 100 metres above the Guadalhorce river. Discover the Conde de Guadalhorce Dam, the Desfiladero de los Gaitanes and the history and importance of the Guadalhorce River at El Caminito del Rey. Meet your guide and board the bus to head to the Conde de Guadalhorce Dam. Start your walking tour and discover how the dam is Malaga's main water reservoir. Your guide will tell you the history of the Gaitanes Gorge and how the Guadalhorce River sculpted the canyon. Get ready to test your nerves on a high altitude adventure along El Caminito del Rey. Follow the path about 3 kilometres long and less than 1 metre wide, hanging 100 metres above the Guadalhorce River. See the construction of a water channel from the northern reservoirs to El Chorro and how the path was built to maintain the channel. The path is known as El Caminito del Rey because it was inaugurated by King Alfonso XIII.

Village first another well informed guide he was very knowledgeable and interesting bits about the castle and churches (we caught a wedding party) for the church we saw earlier. then to Camintio which was really great to see, it was one I have wanted to do for years so the rock formations are fabulous. Walking was easy and enjoyable so if you are in the area go see it, good shoes are a must, once again the guide was full of interesting knowledge of the reason for the walk way. After a wee stop for beer 🍺 and as we were going for the bus it started to rain 🌧️ yup everyone got soaked and it done so all the way back to Málaga and all night. that didn't put a damper on the trip it was a great day out. well worth it
