Next, you’ll head off on a drive through small market towns and hills to 9 Mile, the birth and final resting place of reggae superstar Bob Marley. Hear the story of his childhood and rise to stardom. Option Bioluminescent Lagoon Cruise and Dinner As you head back towards the coast you’ll stop at the Joe James Restaurant and Art Gallery. Enjoy Mr. James’s artwork and sit sown for a Jamaican family-style dinner (included). Finish your tour with a visit to the Luminous Lagoon, inhabited by microscopic organisms that emit a phosphorescent light when the water is agitated. Board a boat for a ride on the bioluminescent lagoon to see the illumination of the water that occurs as the boat disturbs the microscopic organisms inhabiting the lagoon. On this boat ride after the sun goes down your boat captain and guide will tell you the story of the lagoon and why it glows. As your boat approaches the center of the lagoon, your captain will tell you about the folklore around swimming in the lagoon.
