Full description

Explore the snow-capped mountains of Jungfraujoch, listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site since 2007 for its stunning High Alps scenery, and as the site of Europe’s largest glacier and highest train station.

Take a scenic coach journey along the Brünig Pass and the shores of Lake Brienz to the Bernese Oberland. After a break in Interlaken, board the cable car at the Grindelwald Terminal for a spectacular 15-minute ride to the Eiger Glacier by gondola.

Change to a cogwheel train that will take you to the peak of Jungfraujoch. Enjoy stunning views of the triple peaks of Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau as you ride. Immerse yourself in the High-Alpine wonderland of ice, snow, and rock at the top.

Experience the adventure tour “Alpine Sensation,” marking the 100-year anniversary of the Jungfrau Railway. Visit the Sphinx Observation Terrace and Plateau for the most breathtaking views of the Aletsch Glacier.

Stroll through the tunnels of the Ice Palace in the heart of the glacier for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Descend via the car-free resort of Wengen to Lauterbrunnen, where your coach will be waiting for your return transfer to Zurich.

It’s a 12 hour adventure but worth it for the unique experience. It’s important to pick a day with few or no clouds. The altitude was a problem for a small number of people. The stop in Lucerne is only to pick up more people. The stop in Interlaken is also to pick up more people but we had about 45 minutes free time. The tour description says the return is via Wengen but it’s not. You go back the same way via Eiger Express Gondola to Grindelwald.

Trip was busy but well ogranised - recommend arriving early for the coach as it was full so you may not be seated together if you are a group/family. Travel to destinations was quick and scenery on way and while there was stunning! Guide was very good at explaining various sites on the way.

This is definitely a lifetime trip, if you have the time (12hrs) and you are in healthy conditions, don’t hesitate at all. Comfy couch, nice staff, excellent time managing. People who have kids they might face some problems because of the travel Long hours. Don't forget to bring your snacks and drinks, portable batteries to charge your phone and devices and thick clothes. Buckle up, enjoy the ride and the scenic views! Thanks!
