Full description

Escape from reality for the day and immerse yourself in the fairytale-like landscapes of Liechtenstein and Heidiland. After getting picked up from your hotel in Zurich, sit back and relax as you travel to the medieval Rapperswil Castle, where you can admire 600 rose varieties in Rapperswil Rose Garden.

Later, proceed to Vaduz in Liechtenstein, where you can witness the magnificent Vaduz Castle, as well as the Cathedral of St. Florin, Government House, and the City Hall. At the Vaduz Tourism Office, get the change to stamp your passport with a Liechtenstein stamp for CHF 3.00. Next, you may choose to visit Gutenberg Castle, located in the town of Balzers, where you can admire panoramic views of the town below.

Afterward, continue to Swiss Heidiland, which gets its name from Johanna Spyri’s world-famous Heidi story. Spend some time admiring the picturesque village. Follow the Heidi Path to discover all of the locations described in Spyri's book and even pay a visit to the authentic Heidi house. At the end of the day, get dropped off back at your hotel in Zurich.

Nice day trip from Zurich. There were a few tourist buses in Liechtenstein but it still was not too crowded. Everyone in our group had read the Heidi books and seen at least one version of the movie. I think that Heidiland would be no fun for anyone who didn't have that background.

We were very disappointed with what we received. Verner is a very nice and well-mannered young man but he knows nothing about the region we toured. He is a capable driver but we paid $1400 USD for a tour not a driver. You had the responsibility to provide a trained professional who knows the history of the area and can provide knowledgeable answers to questions as well as anecdotal information beyond what I can read on an internet search. I expect a substantial discount and return of funds. If I review your company now it will be scathing. At least if you refund me I will remain silent. We travel the world regularly. I have never had an operator put someone without trading and experience in a position of responsibility. This was unforgivable.

He was an excellent guide who was very knowledgable about the places we visited plus gave us good background on growing up in Switzerland. He was well planned and very prompt with a good schedule for the entire day. He also was accommodating and comfortable taking on our family tour.
