Escape off the beaten track and join us on an excursion that combines adventure by train, exploration of medieval villages, breathtaking medieval and Baroque architecture and incredible natural landscapes in the middle of the Alps. Meet your guide at 8:30 a.m. in front of Nice-Ville's main train station (Boulangerie Paul terrace). Discover breathtaking scenery as you cross natural canyons, high bridges and tunnels on a 2.5-hour train ride to your destination. Along the way, your guide will reveal the secrets of one of France's most beautiful railroad lines, a testament to French civil engineering in the early 20th century. We'll make two stops to visit two medieval villages, Saorge and Tende (depending on the day, the guide may change the program to visit other equally beautiful villages). First, visit Tende and its Museum des Merveilles to discover mysterious Bronze Age engravings and other historical artifacts from the Mercantour National Park. Afterwards, you'll visit the Mercantour National Park House to observe protected species of endemic flora and fauna. After lunch (you can choose between a picnic or lunch in a local restaurant), you'll visit other must-see sites in Tende, such as a baroque cathedral, a labyrinth of medieval streets, panoramic views from the top of the village, the cemetery and the ruins of an ancient castle. Let's continue our journey to Saorge, an impressive village, a pearl of medieval architecture with steep streets, built on a concave hill. Classified as one of France's most beautiful villages. Admire the charming and peaceful Franciscan convent of Saorge (option 5€/p), founded in the 17th century, before visiting the church of Saint-Sauveur, another jewel of Baroque art. The village offers spectacular views of the Alps and surrounding canyons. An enchanting day full of surprises! Return by train, arriving in Nice at 7.45pm. The guide reserves the right to modify the itinerary depending on the interests of the guests, the weather conditions or availabilities of the restaurants/snacks, museums/monuments (Itinerary could include La Brigue, Breil/Roya or Sospel (instead Tende and Saorge)) Example of option to change the itinerary during the hottest summer days: - Take a refreshing dip in a natural swimming pool (river) (La Brigue or Breil-sur-Roya option)

Your guide will lead you through the port, the old town, the seaside and up and down the main hill in the center of Nice, effortlessly on this 3-hour electric bike tour. Then we take a drive along the Formula I race circuit to reach Monte Carlo with its famous casino and world-known Hotel de Paris.

Depart from Nice between 08:15 and 09:00 in an air-conditioned minivan and professional driver/ guide to explore Italy and spend some free time shopping in the open air market famous for leather goods, shoes, handbags and other fashion accessories. This will also be an excellent opportunity get a taste of Italian gastronomy. In Menton, the pearl of the French Riviera, discover the scents colors and calm of the old town.  Then, head in the direction of La Turbie to admire one of the most beautiful panoramic views over Monaco and photograph one of the last Roman remains of this region. Don’t forget your passport to cross the border.  

A unique Train Experience through the Alps to discover a historic train line that crosses the Alps from the Côte d'Azur to the Gorges du Verdon, a technical feat of French civil engineering from the beginning of the 20th century, the opportunity to visit 2 amazing villages shaped by a unique history, the most surprising hike in the Southern Alps with giant sandstone blocks creating a "meteor shower" effect, rock shelters, a unique geological site, the "King's Room", a forest of chestnut trees several hundred years old and in a few hours a diversity of landscapes that creates a succession of surprises. The Train des Pignes will amaze you with its route, its breathtaking views of the villages, through valleys, viaducts and tunnels, witnesses of the French civil engineering of the beginning of the 20th century. 2 hours of unique experience commented on board by our local expert guide through one of the most incredible train lines in France. Then, we will pass from village to village and stop in the 2 most interesting sites: Annot and Entrevaux. You will enjoy the clean, fresh and invigorating air of the Alps, during a hike full of surprises and hidden treasures (depending on the physical condition of the group we will choose the shorter hike (4km) or the longer loop (8km), a haven of peace just a few steps from the French Riviera. We will prepare a delicious picnic of local specialties and products and finish this stop by discovering the village of Annot, its medieval atmosphere and its troglodyte houses dug in the rock. Then, we will take the train des Pignes to explore Entrevaux, a medieval city of Exception with its remarkable drawbridge perched above the river, the flamboyant baroque cathedral, its ridge that forms a natural rock barrier determining its history as a French historical fortress and especially its castle overlooking the village by 100 meters from which one can wonderfully embrace the Var Valley.
