You will participate in an about two hours long tour, and I am going to show you both the main attractions, and the cozy local specific places in the city, that are must see if you would like to get to know the real Budapest. There will be time to take photos during the tour as well. First, we are going to visit the Heroes’ Square, Fine Art Museum, Hall of Art and Vajdahunyad Castle, then we will go along Andrassy Avenue, and see the House of Terror and the Opera House. Then, you will see the St. Stephen’s Basilica and the Parliament. After that, we will take a circle around the Jewish Quarter, where you will feel the vibe of the city in the narrow tiny streets, and we will pass the Great Synagogue too. On the Buda side, I will show you the Gellért Hotel, Rudas Thermal Bath and then go up to the Buda Castle area, to see the Matthias Church, Fisherman’s Bastion and the Buda Palace. You will hear about the history, interesing legends and stories of Budapest. Furthermore you will recive recommendations about restaurants, pubs and bars. Ride along Budapest's streets by bicycle on an innovative and entertaining jaunt around the Hungarian capital. Cycle along the banks of the River Danube and cruise along Andrassy Avenue; a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Check out the magnificent St. Stephen's Basilica. View Liberty Square and the Parliament building, then cross the Margit Bridge to Buda on the river's west bank. Learn about the history of Buda, a site of several sieges and conquests during the Ottoman expansion which almost decimated the city's population completely. Pass the Széchenyi Chain Bridge and the Elisabeth Bridge, which both hold fascinating stories of their own! Zip over to Clark Adam Square, the famous Hotel Gellért, and the Rudas Thermal Baths. Then cycle to Pest across Elisabeth Bridge and discover Pest downtown. The tour concludes back at Andrassy Avenue, where you can visit the majestic 19th-century Hungarian State Opera House; one of the era's most celebrated examples of European architecture. This 3-hour cycle tour is an excellent way to get a taste of the Hungarian capital's highlights before venturing out on your own to explore.
