What we found a bit unfortunate is that we didn't get any information about Stone Town in the first part. Only when we were in Swahilli House did our guide come loose. The rest of the tour was great especially the food market. Our guide guided us through it fantastically and let us taste everything. All in all, highly recommended.

We had a wonderful evening with Abw! He picked us up from our hotel, showed us the buzzing local food market, shared insights to zanzibari culture, people & life, we had our sundowner on a lovely rooftop and the highlight: delicious and freshly prepared local foods on the night market! He reassured us several times, that the products we tried are fresh, met our preferences & were super tasty. We can only recommend this tour through lively Stone Town by night! HAKUNA MATATA!

Not sure how to classify this tour. I wouldn’t call it a street food tour as it was a walk around Stone Town, a stop at a roof bar for a beer and then walk to food market where you get to try three things. One from each stall and they are situated next to each other. The total cost of what you will consume in this tour is less than $10 USD. So the price is steep for what you get. That being said we got to try things that normally we wouldn’t and they tasted good.
