What to Expect
For dedicated Freddie Mercury fans, and those with a passing curiosity about the story of a rock icon, and a lust to explore Stone Town, this 2-hour Freddie Mercury walking tour is ideal.

Born Farouk Bulsara on the 5th September 1946 in the Shangani ward of Zanzibar City, Freddie Mercury spent his formative years living and playing in Stone Town’s winding alleyways. His Parsi parents had emigrated to Zanzibar from India, and were practicing Zoroastrians, a fire religion founded more than 3,000 years ago, and believed to be the world’s oldest religion.

During the tour, you will go the Zoroastrian temple where Mercury and his family worshipped. You will also visit the Zanzibar Gallery shop, former home of Freddie’s family. Stroll along Shangani streers where Freddie walked before he left with his parents and sister for London at the age of 18 - where his transformation into Freddie Mercury was completed.
