Full description
Take a boat ride, spot turtles, swim, admire incredible scenery, and more during a day trip in the Zakynthos region. After pickup at your hotel, head straight to your first stop at Kalamaki beach on Zante's southern shores. Enjoy the lovely, clean beach with soft golden sand and warm waters, protected by a National Marine Park. See where the famous endangered loggerhead sea turtle nest. Learn all about these beautiful creatures from your guide and volunteers who keep the turtles safe. If you're lucky, you may even spot tiny baby turtles breaking out of their shells. Next, head to Laganas beach to board the glass-bottom boat. Get ready with your camera to take awesome turtle photos. Sail to the stunning Keri Caves, carved by time, tides, and wind. Follow the coastline, admiring the white beaches, fantastic rock arches, forested hills, and enormous limestone cliffs that fall straight into the sea. Pass through the famous rock arch, Kamara. Then, stop for a 20-minute swim just outside the entrance to a vast cave. Climb back on board to head to Marathonisi, known as Turtle Island, an exotic, green, and coincidentally turtle-shaped island. Enjoy an hour on the golden, sandy beach where you can swim and snorkel. Then, start heading back. Pass the famous Cameo island bridge. Enjoy the views of this idyllic paradise and admire its lovely secluded beach surrounded by steep white limestone. Enjoy a final stop at the award-winning Aristeon ecological olive oil press museum in Lithakia. Explore the history of olive oil making on the island throughout the ages with experts. Enjoy free tasters of local olives and traditional bread with different flavored extra virgin olive oils (most likely lemon, orange, and garlic). Take a sample of olive oil shampoo, soap, body cream, or face cream. You can also buy these products if you wish, in order to support local businesses.

This was a super fun day out. Our guide, Sakis, was so helpful, funny and all around a pleasure to have as a guide. The activities were well planned and everything went smoothly. The boat trip was incredible. So relaxing. The side activities did feel slightly rushed, I would have skipped the olive oil museum to have more time at one of the other stops, since it's a turtle tour. Museum was still interesting though with being able to taste different types of olive oil. Would recommend!

In the tour we followed all the stages described. The operators come directly to pick you up at the hotel in a comfortable and clean air-conditioned van or coach. The drivers are courteous, very prepared and friendly, as well as available if you need a few more minutes or if you need a stop. The captain of the glass-bottomed ship is very good at finding turtles for you to see. The stops for swimming are of the right duration and in very beautiful places, even the tour of the caves is excellent and they try to give maximum visibility to all passengers with the boat, which are never too many compared to other tours that overload the ships. The oil museum is also nice and interesting. Highly recommended

Was more of a turtle hunt. Just what tough, nature conservation no thanks. Didn't think that this is still allowed.
