Full description
You will be picked up from your resort by bus and transferred to the main harbour in Zakynthos Town, where you will board the speedboat for an unforgettable experience cruising to the north of the island and back! The boat leaves the port at 9:00 AM, staffed with experienced and friendly crew. The boat will pass the residential area of Krioneri, the resort areas of Tsilivi, Alykanas and Alykes, up to Skinari, the most northern part of the island, where the lighthouse can be seen.  Also just off the port of Agios Nicholas at Skinari, there is a small island in the shape of a turtle, officially belonging to the Vatican as it was not ceded to Greece along with the rest of the Ionian Islands in the 18th century. From this point the closest neighbouring island of Kefalonia can be seen. Heading on to Smuggler's Cove, where the wreck of the ship "Panayiotis" can be seen, you'll stop for a wonderful swim in the lovely blue waters. The boat will anchor as close to the shore as is possible depending on sea conditions and, depending on the weather, and anyone wishing to go to the beach may do so. The beach is not sandy, but instead is covered in small white pebbles. Continuing on, the boat will sail to the famous Blue Caves, discovered in 1897. The name comes from the colour of the water, a gorgeous mixture of aquamarine and turquoise. This area is also the deepest part of the Mediterranean called the "Well of Ionysos", which is about 4,500 metres deep. Here you can go swimming again for about 30 minutes if you wish! The boat will then turn around and will cruise back to the port, arriving in town at about 1:30 PM. You will then be transferred back to your resort.

Better than expected

The boat was excellent quality, snacks and drinks available too. We left late, waiting for a coach load to arrive, but the boat made up it's time. We unfortunately only got fifteen minutes at Shipwreck beach, but sometimes you can't even get off the boat, so I suppose we were lucky. Swimming around by the caves is fine if you are a good swimmer and can tread water, I would of liked everyone to have life jackets, being in the middle of the ocean, but I'm just safety conscious. The views were amazing and just how it is pictured. Overall a well planned trip, with all expectations met.

Great sight

Ok turn. Had a little trouble with the boat did not quite land at shipreck Bay. A little bad info about we customer got off the boat at shipreck. Lots of money to give in advance as you could get it cheaper in place. But otherwise a good trip. Very nice!

Total flop

Booked this for 6 of us so spent over €200 on this trip. The weather was bad so couldn’t stop by the shipwreck. Disappointing but obviously couldn’t be controlled. They then decided to do two stops so we could swim which seemed lovely. Except the water was so choppy that most of us struggled to swim and not end up under the boat. Truly terrifying when two of the swimmers are your teen children. Tour guide was then overhead telling another customer that she wouldn’t have swam in the water with the current so strong. Why she thought it ok to tell the rest of us to swim in it I have no idea. Unprofessional and pretty rubbish.
