Full description

Explore Zakopane on a guided tour including round-trip transportation from Krakow. Experience the healing waters of hot thermal springs and in a spa complex, ride a cable car to the top of Gubałówka Mountain, and enjoy a cheese and alcohol tasting. Start with a pickup from your hotel, apartment, or another place of your choice in Krakow. From there the duration of the transport from Krakow to Zakopane is approximately 2 hours. About 20 minutes from Zakopane is the town of Chochołów.

Chochołów is famous for its wooden houses that look almost identical. The settlers traditionally wash the wooden walls of the buildings with soap and water, which happens twice a year before Christmas and Easter. Thanks to this cleaning, long-standing buildings look brand new. The village is inscribed on the World Heritage List. Visit the shepherd's hut (cheese factory) where highlanders produce smoked sheep's cheese traditional to the region of Poland. Taste some of the local cheese called Oscypek, and learn about the history of its production. Arrive in Zakopane, the capital of the Polish mountains. Each year, this place attracts many tourists who want to experience the unique style of Górlaskie culture, which is expressed through architecture, food, music, style of speech, and clothing. In the town center lies Krupówki Street.

Enjoy time for independent exploration and lunch (not included). This street is the market square of Zakopane, where you can find souvenir shops and many restaurants that serve local food. Zakopane also boasts cable car access. Hop on a cable car and take in views of the Polish Tatra Mountains from the top of Gubałówka Mountain. After exploring Zakopane and the surrounding area, your driver will take you to the Bania Thermal Pools in Białka Tatrzańska. Once there, relax and feel the healing properties of thermal water. After your visit, your driver will take you to your drop-off location in Krakow.

This was the absolute highlight of our trip to Poland. Communication was fab. Our driver picked us up from our Air bnb bang on time in a comfy and clean car. We stopped for a toilet break next to a lovely cathedral then went up to the mountains. We had ample but not too much time to explore, our driver gave us our tickets for the cable car and showed us where to go. We took lunch with us and ate it on the mountain top and bought a beer each. Then our driver took us to the bath which were amazing. We had 2 1/2 hours here and there are two bars inside the baths.

This was an amazing experience, full of fun, education and relaxation! The journey is long so prepare for discomfort, as the only thing I can say I didn’t love was being cramped in the van for around 5 hours. The cheese tasting and cherry vodka shots were so fun whilst the Zakopane mountains were beautiful! We were given enough time to explore, eat and my friend and I even got such a fun caricature drawing of us which was my favourite souvenir! The top of the mountains were stunning and the food was traditional polish, with amazing sausages and thick hot chocolate! Only thing here was having to pay for toilets.. so maybe go before or hang on until the baths! The baths were definitely the highlight - so relaxing, with a sauna and bar in the middle of the water; it also has water slides which were so fun! Being picked up/dropped off from and to hotel was a massive bonus (they were very punctual) and a shoutout to our guide Joanna who was so warm, charismatic and fun! 100% recommend!
