Marco was a great tour guide and the lakes were beautiful. The organisation was good in terms of exchanging the luggage onto another bus for the Split transfer, however this second bus had no operating air con on an incredibly hot day, and the bus was packed meaning families could not sit together. The lakes were very crowded as it is summer, so we could have benefited if the tours had been staggered; three buses left at exactly the same time, meaning we were all in one place at one time. This meant there was a half hour wait for a boat in an area with no shade. I’d also advise not to buy food at the lakes as the chips were still frozen and the rest very bland. Definitely a worthwhile experience though, as the waters are so clear and picturesque.

Incredible this park.. What a beauty !!! We discovered it with our guide Marko whom we thank for his patience and support. Not being great walkers, he knew how to make this beautiful walk very pleasant for us despite the stairs and the ascent (Count between 5:00 and 6:00 with the lunch break) But it's worth taking time and sweating for so much natural beauty. It was over 30 degrees when we visited. My only regret: that the visit of the site is not with headphones and that when we pass in front of villages or mountains or others that there are not systematically indications especially from Plitvice to Split and its in the Zagreb bus -Plitvice is to be reviewed, we did not understand much.

The tour company contacted me and picked me up at the hotel as it was very close to the meeting point. The transfer from Zagreb to the Plitvice lakes was good, the tour inside the lakes very good too, the guide very friendly. At the end of the tour we made a 1-hour stop to eat and from there they transferred me to Split. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to take advantage of the times in those 3 points.
