Superb town with a beautiful castle, the inner courtyard of which can be visited. The nearby cemetery is part of the excursion, it is good but not the most beautiful. Finally, the last castle is magnificent from the outside and it offers beautiful views. The interior decoration is a little less interesting. The guide spoke perfect English, with a slow enough pace to make it easier for all tourists to understand.

Fantastic tour of Varazdin and Trakoscan Castle

Our guide was fabulous, Gorrin, because he was a history major and new everything about Croatia and the surrounding areas. On time and professional with a very comfortable ban. Spent time in Varazdin, a small town about an hour outside Zagreb with some time to explore on our own. Trakoscan Castle was located on a beautiful lake, great views with original furniture furnishings in the castle. A bit of a hike uphill to get into the Castle.

The excursion is worth it. We were a small group of 7 people. The driver Mr. Goran very punctual. He explained the history of Croatia on the way to Varazdin. We arrived to visit the city of Varazdin where a local guide was waiting for us. He offered us a good tour and explanations about the place. Then we had an hour and a half free and we left for the Trakoscan Castle. Beautiful on the lake. We were able to take photos and enjoy the visit to the castle and the views. Then return to Zagreb. All this very well assisted and very professional.
