Leave Zagreb and head to the Lika region. The first stop on the itinerary is the picturesque watermill village of Rastoke, located at the confluence of the Slunjčica and Korana rivers. Take a stroll through the town to admire the unique rural architecture. The tour continue on to Plitvice Lakes National Park. This is Croatia’s oldest and most visited national park, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. For centuries, water has formed waterfalls and created 16 crystal-clear lakes in this area. Enjoy the outstanding natural beauty of the forest landscape and the lakes that are connected by a series of waterfalls. Board an electric boat to cross Lake Kozjak and learn more about karst formations and the abundant animal life in the park. Become one with nature, enjoy the clean fresh air and marvel at the breathtaking views that surround you. Your guide was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and attentive. This was the perfect blend to the picturesque backdrop of Plitvice National Park and it’s lovely lakes and waterfalls. Although some of the stretches of the walk were slightly challenging for our group of 4 seniors, we were well encouraged by our guide, Blaz and was able to complete the walk in good time, capturing all the lovely photos. We were lucky that the weather was nice and sunny and the crowds were not too bad. This is indeed an excellent experience of a day’s outing and I would highly recommend this day trip to all.

Well worth the trip to Plitvice Lakes although we had a spectacular day weather wise where the park looked like the photos. There are lots of photo stops in the park but otherwise you are constantly moving. The only break to sit down is 30min for lunch which we didn’t have until nearly 3pm and the time on the bus and boat. Blaj our guide was informative, professional and happy to take photos of us if we wanted. The stop in Rastoke felt a bit pointless.

Very nice tour, definitely recommended! Our guide directed us through the crowd and chose a great route so that we didn't have to queue. He always picked up the car for us, so we didn't have to walk with him. The village was also super nice and we had enough time for everything. Gladly again at any time!
