Leave Zagreb and head to the Lika region. The first stop on the itinerary is the picturesque watermill village of Rastoke, located at the confluence of the Slunjčica and Korana rivers. Take a stroll through the town to admire the unique rural architecture. The tour continue on to Plitvice Lakes National Park. This is Croatia’s oldest and most visited national park, listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. For centuries, water has formed waterfalls and created 16 crystal-clear lakes in this area. Enjoy the outstanding natural beauty of the forest landscape and the lakes that are connected by a series of waterfalls. Board an electric boat to cross Lake Kozjak and learn more about karst formations and the abundant animal life in the park. The trip was perfect! We had a lovely guide, Matija, who picked us up and took us to the National park. Along the way we got amazing insights into the city, country, and history of the park. I felt like I learned so much! The lakes were a must see, definitely one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We did a boat tour inside the park, had lunch and then headed back to Zagreb. I highly recommend this trip especially if you get our guide, Matija.

I am the Asian girl who travelled alone and joined the tour to pltivice lakes national park on 27th May. Our mini group was wonderful! The tour guide is professional and excellent, he keeps explaining the history and culture. The waterfalls are astonished. I will definitely recommend this tour for everyone! You will enjoy it.

Plitvice Lakes National Park is an amazing place to visit (and to revisit in the future). Equally amazing is our companion, Blaz, who is our driver, historian, storyteller and guide. A very energetic, polite and intelligent young chap. I took over a hundred photos of the lakes, but nothing compares to seeing the National Park in person. A refreshing and enjoyable experience walking up to the uppermost lake. Thanks Blaz for making this trip memorable.
