    Highly recommendable local guide experience

Small bike rental shop owned by a local couple, who offer ordinary bike rental, but also a shorter 2,5 hour inner-city guided tour or 4 hour tour including the suburbs. We have done many sightseeing tours by bike, but the one comes in top due to the engagement, knowledge and proud local guide, who truly loved her city and liked to communicate with people from other cultures. We also enjoyed hearing her views and experiences about Croatias situation as part of Yogoslavia and now in the EU. Worth the money and a good start in a city you dont know yet. Also our teenage sons thought it was great.

A wonderful taste of Zagreb with a truly local flavour

We had a wonderful tour with Alida from Blue Bike Tours. The tour lived up to its billing with the itinerary following the Zagreb "horseshoe" of parks and districts in the Old Town with stops and commentary on contemporary life and the character of the city and its inhabitants - from terraces and bars to the mystery of finding the solar system within the city. In one morning we took in all the historical sights, the Croatian regiment parade (by pure luck the first of the season), the noon firing of the cannon and a fascinating potted history of the city and nation. In between the history we got glimpses into contemporary Zagreb - the cultural, political and social life of the city - terraces, bars, restaurants, markets, the parliament etc and a tour of the tunnels under the city thrown in as well. Alida was very informative and enjoyable guide to share the morning with. We had arrived in Zagreb with only a day allocated to it, but left with a feeling that Zagreb was worth more!

    A highlight of the break!

We did the bike tour on the second day of the 4 day break and we're glad we did! The guide was very knowledgeable and it felt as if we'd come to visit an old friend. He pointed out all sorts of things we might have otherwise missed and the rest of the trip we revisited places of interest he'd showed us and put the guide book away. I thoroughly recommend the tour.
