We really had lots of fun and the food we tasted was very diverse! Kristina is a super friendly and funny guide who gave us a personal tour of the local foods and shared lots of insight into the history and Croatian culture, we felt very welcomed by her. She kept in mind your personal food preferences and/or allergies, etc. as well. Furthermore, there really is NO need to have breakfast beforehand! We started off with a breakfast type of food and all the portions were quite large, so come with an empty stomach if possible. It is also a good idea to bring a small bag, some "samples" could be saved for later.
Highly, highly recommend this experience!!! We booked this tour for our first full day in Croatia, and it was a great way to get to know the city and get an introduction to the food scene. Diana was a wonderful guide who was very knowledgeable about Croatian food and culture, and really made the experience the best it could be. Some advice - do not eat breakfast before coming, you will be eating more than enough food!!
We enjoyed our tour. We learned a lot about the history of the area. Our tour guide was in his late 20s so he gave us his parents and grandparents viewpoints from communism. We had truffle cheese, beef links, grappa, sweet strukli, & wines. We had a 7 people on our tour. Water was provided at restaurants. Be prepared to walk to upper town.
Fun tour, good mix of local knowledge and nice food. Dino is a great guide, recommended!
We love Antonio’s sense of humor! And the tour is fun and helpful.
