Great tour experience with Bojan! Very organized and yet letting us walk at our own pace. We really appreciated the way the walk was structured so that we avoided going with the crowds and instead took the opposite path by entering through entrance 2. Also a lot of interesting facts shared with the group on the way to the Plitvice National Park which made for an entertaining journey there. Would definitely recommend!

Full description

Experience Plitvice Lakes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on a day trip from Zadar with entry ticket and a tour. Listen to interesting stories about Croatia before arriving at the park. Walk the path around the lakes and relax on a boat trip.

Make your way to the meeting point in the morning and meet your friendly guide and group for the day. Enjoy a brief introduction and start driving out of the city, admiring the Croatian countryside and listening to live commentary on your way to the park.

Arrive at the lakes and have 4 hours to explore the upper and lower waterfalls. Take amazing photos by the water and discover flowing springs, flowering meadows, and mysterious caves.

Afterwards, rest your feet with a train ride and a scenic boat trip on the turquoise water with banks of lush green trees. Take one last look at the waterfalls before returning back to Zadar.

After returning to Zadar, explore the Old Town area with an optional guided walking tour that you can take any day during your stay at 6:30 PM.

Please enter the office, where you will be checked in and greeted by your tour guide (it is necessary to arrive at the meeting point 15 min before the start of the tour). • For the Zadar Old Town walking tour, meet at 6:30 PM (any day) in front of Novi Cafe in Zadar, beside the Roman column (Trg Petra Zoranića). No reservations are needed.

  • We recommend that participants bring warm clothing as Plitvice tends to be colder than Zadar.

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Depending on the weather conditions, some parts of the park may be restricted

Our guide was Filip of Zadar ‘In and Out’ team. He was excellent but see comment below. Plitvice lakes were stunning and the chosen H route including boat trip was ideal. We walked circa 7 miles mainly downhill. Due to circumstances (a marathon at Plitvice) the start time was moved to 12:20pm. This worked well except it meant the tour group was circa 50 individuals (a full coach) which was too many for one guide. A supporting individual (s) would have helped logistical arrangements and enabled more interaction. We returned to Zadar around 10:00pm.
