AMAZING!! Easy pickup point at the edge of the old town. Very comfortable vehicle for our small group of 12. We had the most glorious sunny weather. We arrived at Entrance 1 outside the cafe. Our guide gave us a box breakfast & we sat at the tables in front of the cafe. You have time to get a coffee here. We walked into the park & down towards the bus that took us to the top of the upper lakes. We are in our 60’s & reasonably fit but our guide set the pace to accommodate all in our party. The walk is incredible & our guide explained various things along the way. We walked down passed all of the upper lakes & then took a boat to connect with the lower lakes. At this point there is a comfort stop & time to grab something to eat. There is also a stop at a restaurant on the way home for a more substantial lunch or simply a snack. I cannot speak more highly about our guide Ante. He was exceptional & I truly appreciated hearing the history of Zadar, Plitvice Lakes & Croatia. Fabulous!
We only had one full day in Zadar and couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than to see the islands and gorgeous water. We booked a private tour for a group of four. It was the perfect amount as we could all sit at the front of the boat and see the gorgeous views. Our guide took us to 6 different islands, stopped at an island for an afternoon beer & a local cafe where we had sushi, fish, fried squid & Dalmatian style wine. The food was phenomenal and something we would’ve never experienced without him. Our tour lasted 9 hours and it was simply amazing. We gained knowledge on the history of the area, swam in pristine waters and went on an island hike to name a few of the adventures. Hands down the best excursion we’ve been on. Croatia was beautiful, we hope to be back!
Overall a great tour! The pickup location was very convenient. We didn’t have to wait in line at the park when getting our tickets (which they did for us, but it was fast) Also, our tour guide (Ante) did an amazing job of providing information about the history of Croatia and the ecology of Plitvice lakes, while also making the tour fun :)
Please make sure that you can collect people from Stari Grad. We took a taxi from Stari Grad to go to the pick up points which cost us a lot of Money but the drop off was available at Stari Grad. No complaints about the tour itself or our guide or driver. It was good.
Great day trip! Friendly and really informative guide. The national park is beautiful and well worth the visit. Good to have breakfast/lunch snack included with the price. The bus was comfortable and safe journey there and back. Would recommend this experience!
