We spent an amazing day at the beach! The water was unbelievable! The boat trip helped set the day right, offering amazing views of the islands and the staff was really friendly and fun, they even turned the music at a high volume which made the people dance - really nice atmosphere! They do inform you on the boat that there is seaweed in the water and due to its properties it is protected by law, therefore it cannot be cleaned. And anyway, it’s not the gross type of green seaweed, it’s mostly dry and once further in the water it’s not anymore - only a bit at the shore and on the beach (which honestly makes for a soft spot for your beach towels). One remark though: they could offer some vegetarian/vegan options for the food provided as not everyone eats meat - we gave our lunch wraps back and ended up taking the ham out of the breakfast sandwich. We came prepared with our own food anyway so it was no biggie. All in all, it was a great experience and we’ll go again!

Magnificent crystalline sea with its sand !!!!!!! Hot water and a sandbank in the distance which allows you to enjoy it despite the number of people present. Enjoy it during your stay in Zadar because the city center is quickly done! The only downside: the condition of the beach when we were there! On the way going there full of plastic plugs and the remains of waste brought by the sea! It didn't look maintained! Lots of seaweed by the sea as well as piles of seaweed left to dry! Too bad for the frame which takes a hit! Nevertheless it remains to be done!

The ship departs from the port of the old town of Zadar, right next to the bridge. They give you a bag with a samwich, a snack for noon, fruit and water. The boat is very comfortable and does not tide, it has an upper and lower part with a cabin inside. The journey to bozava is about 2 hours, then the bus to the beach about 10 minutes. Sakarun beach is very unkempt, lots of seaweed on the shore and in the sand. If you get in a little the water looks very clear. The best area is where the restaurant (Amarcord), you have a very nice view of the water. Although it is stone on this side there is no algae. We spent about 3h30 min on the beach until the bus picked us up again. I recommend it if you want to spend a quiet day.
