Move to higher elevations for a second photo stop above Risan Bay. Continue to Nikšić, the second biggest city in Montenegro, and make another stop for pictures at the artificial Salty Lake. Take a much-needed breakfast break after your morning sightseeing and enjoy some tasty local food and drink (not included in the tour cost). Drive towards Mount Durmitor, where rocky peaks rise high into the sky. Pass dense pine and colorful deciduous forest. Stop at Đurđevića Tara Bridge, the highest in Europe when built in 1940. Cross the 365-meter-long bridge, 172 meters above the canyon floor if you´d like. Proceed to the hidden jewel of Durmitor National Park, the majestic Black Lake, among 18 glacial lakes above 1,500 meters on Durmitor Mountain. Altogether they are called "Mountain Eyes". Embark on a hike on the 4-kilometer trail around the lake. Stop at Žabljak, the highest town in the Balkans, located at 1,450 meters above sea level. Dine on a lunch of traditional Montenegrin food. Afterward, hit the road towards the most visited spiritual site in Montenegro, the Ostrog Monastery. Begin your ascent up the narrow and winding road close to sunset, enjoying spectacular views of the highly-perched monastery. View the relics of the monk Vasilije Ostroški, who founded the place. Return to Kotor at the end of your tour.

Start with pickup from your hotel in Žabljak. If you are looking for some extra exciting experience in National Park Durmitor, then rafting on the Tara River is for you. Tara Canyon is the main reason why many people from around the world come to explore Montenegro. Not only you will enjoy rafting itself, but you will see and feel breathtaking nature and beautiful waterfalls. You will go under the 170-high Tara Bridge, you can swim and even drink from this river – which is probably one of the last remaining unpolluted rivers in Europe. The Tara River or “The Tear of Europe” runs through the second deepest canyon in the world. It mesmerizes you with its transparent blue, but also emerald green color. It is called The Tear of Europe because its water is so clean, that you can drink from it. Mostly it runs through Durmitor National Park and it is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You will be amazed by Tara’s left tributary, called Ljutica River (Angry River), which is the shortest (130m) and the most powerful river in Europe (1000 liters of water per second). This tour covers approximately 12km on the water. Not only you will paddle through exciting rapids, but you will also enjoy marvelous sceneries around! We go under the bridge and you can see what it looks like from a fish perspective. Then, we make two stops for you. One is next to the Ljutica River - where you will probably want to take some photos; and the other is for all of you who would like to swim in this clear, cold river. (There is a rock from where you can jump!) At the end of this tour – our transport will wait for you. We drive to the starting point, where you change your clothes, and then - if someone wants to get more adrenaline there is another adventure waiting for you - Zip Line above the canyon. This Montenegro hiking tour is designed for backpackers and enthusiastic nature lovers passing through. An all-inclusive Durmitor hiking tour that will leave you amazed and speechless, wanting to return and see what else lies in this marvelous piece of planet Earth. Expect anything but the ordinary! Starting from our beloved base in Boka Bay at 7.00am, our goal for the day is Durmitor. Durmitor is a mountain range and a national park with over 40 peaks exceeding 2000 meters (6561 feet) above sea level. Enjoy the scenic drive through Montenegro's countryside and take advantage of the photo stops along the way to capture the beauty! Our goal is to summit one of the most unique and beautiful peaks of Durmitor. Depending on the weather, group dynamics, and guide's decision, we will choose Prutaš Peak or Crvena Greda Peak. Prutaš Peak, known as the king of south Durmitor, stands at 2393 meters and offers breathtaking views and a rewarding hike. Alternatively, Crvena Greda Peak, at 2175 meters, provides an equally stunning experience, with the added attraction of the serene Jablan Lake nearby. Before the hike, we will stop for a delicious local breakfast served at around 10.20 am at a mountain household to fuel up with energy. Both hikes are moderately challenging, featuring some technical sections, but accessible to any determined hiker. After around 2.30h of hiking, we will enjoy the scenery from the peak before heading back towards our late lunch/dinner spot. We'll say goodbye to the mountain for now, and head back to Kotor after our meal. Arrival is expected around 9.00pm. Excursion " Canyons of Montenegro" is very interesting, because you will see a big part of Montenegro.Departure is from Budva, and along the way, you will see Skadar lake, the capital city of Montenegro-Podgorica and after Podgorica is break for breakfast. The road takes us through the canyon Moraca(1200m), and there will be a few photo breaks. Next stop is monastery Moraca(XIII) century(40min). We will continue to Biogradska gora, national park and visit Biograd lake(40min). After that we will have lunch break. Afterwards we are moving to Tara River Canyon(1333m), the deepest canyon in Europe and the second deepest canyon in the world after Colorado canyon in America. Next you can see the unique Durdevica Tara bridge, the tallest bridge in Balkan(160m), pause(30min). Next you will visit national park and mountin Durmitor and Black lake(60min). We start this e-bike tour from Zabljak. We cycle uphill on asphalt road toward the first viewpoint – Curevac (1626m). Curevac is about 7.6km far from Zabljak town. It is an amazing viewpoint that offers the most beautiful view of the deepest part of the Tara Canyon. Here, we make a small pause to take a rest and take some pictures. We continue the uphill, asphalt road through the forest towards Stuoc. When we get there – a fantastic view of Durmitor Mountain and the panorama of Zabljak opens up! Even though it is not a mountain top, you will feel like you are standing on one of those. If you come on a sunny day, you will enjoy the most. From here, we ride downhill asphalt road toward Bosaca village. This small, beautiful village beneath Durmitor mountain is the highest situated place in the Balkans! We cycle through this beautiful village and we have a stop at a few places, where you can enjoy the amazing view of this secluded and beautiful place. Then, we go on a macadam road, towards Zminje Lake. Soon, we reach– a green Durmitor pearl, hidden among the trees! Here we can take a deserved break, get some snacks and drink fresh, cold water from the spring on its shore. On this lake, you will certainly see several types of dragonflies and the sound of forest silence is the best in this place! Mountain biking through these areas is something you must not miss! From Zminje Lake we take a single trail downhill through the forest, along the Mlinski potok (The Mill Spring). This is mostly a narrow, downhill path and in some places a little bit demanding! Especially if the ground is wet, then there is a lot of mud. However, it is exciting and challenging! Also, this part of the trail is quiet, with birds chirping in its area, but 30 years ago it was wide and bustling with shepherds and their sheep and cows. Soon after, we get on a marvelous forest trail toward Black Lake. However, there are places where you will probably slow down to feel the mesmerizing atmosphere of the forest and watch the sun's rays break its lush greenery! Soon, we reach Black Lake – which is the biggest and the most beautiful lake in Durmitor. Its beauty will surely leave you breathless! Here, we take some pictures and continue our ride toward Zabljak!

We will start the day by driving through the surroundings of Podgorica and further rural areas until we reach Niksic, the second biggest city in Montenegro. It will be a good place to have a short brake, have a walk, coffe or famous Niksicko beer. After visiting Niksic, we will continue to the north of Montenegro, a region known for its high mountains, impressive canyons, old forests, glacial lakes and the mountain way of living. We will visit the Black Lake, the pearl of the Durmitor National Park, and enjoy a walk through the coniferous forest around the beautiful lake. We will find out what phenomena are related to the Black Lake and the Durmitor mountain massif, which has been on the UNESCO list since 1980. We will enjoy a panoramic drive over the Durmitor plateau, visit some other glacial lakes, mysterious medieval cemeteries also listed as the world cultural heritage. At the end, we will admire the grandeur and beauty of the deepest European canyon. We will visit the lookout with a view of the deepest point of the canyon and, if desired, climb to the nearby peak. We will not miss a chance to visit the famous bridge in Đurđevića Tara, from which there is a magnificent view of both sides of the canyon, and the water as clear as a tear. For those who would like to experience a little more adventure, the zip line from one side of the canyon to the other is a great option. Itinerary: - 8:30 a.m. - a pick up at your place of stay - After about 45 minutes of driving, we reach Niksic.. We have a short walk near the Petrovic castle. - Around 12.00 we reach the town of Žabljak and the Black Lake located in the heart of the Durmitor National Park. - After a walk around the lake, we head to the lookout point, which offers a magnificent view of the deepest part of the Tara river canyon. - Somewhere around 4 o'clock in the afternoon we arrive at the bridge in Đurđevića Tara. We spend about an hour there. - On the way back to Podgorica, we drive over the beautiful Durmitor plateau, where we visit the medieval cemetery, a part of the world cultural heritage. - A Return to Podgorica is around 8 p.m. - Drop off at your place of stay

Nevidio Canyoning is for those who are looking for a real adrenaline shot! Canyon Nevidio is the last discovered canyon in Europe. Until 1965 there were several attempts to conquer this mysterious canyon, but they were all unsuccessful. Today canyoning through Nevidio is one of the most exciting adventures Durmitor has to offer. Nevidio Canyon, which means ‘’unseen canyon”, is a part of the Mala Komarnca River. The river runs through Nevidio Canyon and at one point it completely disappears below the rocky walls and becomes ‘’unseen’’ from outside. There are some parts of the canyon that the sun's rays cannot reach. The canyon is about 2km long and the altitude difference from the entrance to the exit is 125m above sea level (935m entrance; 810m exit). Once you enter the canyon you will be amazed by this hidden, marvelous and wild beauty. The meeting point for the canyoning tour is Zabljak. Usually, we meet in front of the Durmitor Adventure office, in the center of the town, but if your accommodation is within the Zabljak area, we can pick you up from there! From Zabljak, we have a 25-minute drive to the starting point – village Poscenje. This village, with two glacial lakes and periodical waterfall Skakavica (70m high) represents the beauty of its own. Here you get all the equipment: a neoprene waterproof suit and boots, helmet 🪖, and safety harness. After a short briefing - the adventure begins! We get lost in this secret passage between the rocks! Remember – once you enter the canyon, there is no way back but on the other side! Don’t worry though, our experienced guides will take you step by step.🫴 Each step of the way brings new beautiful pictures. We will be swimming through natural pools, climbing, and descending cliffs and waterfalls. There are about 10 jumps for the bravest adventurers! If you are too scared to jump it can be avoided by alternative routes. We will be passing through narrow paths – one of them is only 25cm wide and 80m in total length. This is also the most challenging part of the tour. 📢 The tour duration through the canyon is 2,5 – 3 hours, depending on participants' fitness. When you exit the canyon you can’t but feel proud of yourself! Not only did you conquer the last conquered canyon in Europe but you moved your limitations even for a bit! From here we hike back to the starting point. It is about a 1-hour hike (45min uphill). After we change our clothes, we are going to the national restaurant, where we have a well-deserved lunch. Here, we also exchange photos and videos from the tour!

Undoubtedly this is the best viewpoint on the deepest part of the canyon! Driving back seems like a real jeep safari tour through villages and forests in the heart of National Park Durmitor!
