Zabljak Crnojevica

Enjoyable road trip goes first to Zabljak Crnojevica, we will visit abandoned castle of Montenegrin ruling family Crnojevici. Than we will go to find wild horses and enjoy magnificent nature of Bisevina savanna. Later we continue to village Virpazar and Fort Besac to enjoy panoramic view at Skadar lake while having a coffee inside the Fort. Later we continue to panoramic road around Skadar lake and have a short break at Macalov brijeg view point. From this place we are close to village River Crnojevica, which is among oldest Montenegrin settlements with Old bridge, etno restaurants and cultural heritage. After short walk around village, we continue to observe River Crnojevica from Pavlov side view point, which is the top panoramic views in all country. After taking few photos we would go to Mrkan winery and have amazing wine tasting tour. Last destination is the village Karuc, with its peaceful view and the silence of the Skadar lake, this is a real paradise for the end of the tour.

From Podgorica we start our way to the village River Crnojevica, which is among the oldest Montenegrin settlements with Old bridge, ethnic restaurants and cultural heritage. After a short walk around the village, we continue to observe the River Crnojevica from the Pavlova side view point, which is the top panoramic view in the whole country. After taking a few photos we will enjoy wine tasting in one of the best wineries in whole Montenegro with hundreds of years of tradition of making wine and listen story of making wine directly from winery owner. With wine, we will taste delicious products such as cheese and Njeguska prosciutto to reset our receptors for tasting many wines, schnaps and liqueurs. Just note, wines from this winery are totally natural without any conservans or additives! Everything is homemade!

Embark on a kayaking adventure on Lake Skadar and the River Crnojevica. Paddle through narrow rivers and open expanses, and spot large cormorants, little and grey herons, and many other birds (non guaranteed to see all of them - it's a wild nature) We start at a meeting point in Budva (also other places are possible) where the pre-arranged transfer will pick you up. Head to the Zabljak Crnojevica Castle, a former outpost of the ancient Montenegrin kingdom of Zeta. The castle offers stunning views of Lake Skadar. After receiving safety instructions, embark on the water in high-quality European-made plastic kayaks. Paddle through narrow, transparent rivers with currents flowing through canals and groves of weeping willows. As we continue, emerge into the open expanse, revealing the calm bays of Lake Skadar where you can spot large cormorants, little and grey herons and many other birds. Approximately halfway through the journey, make a stop to stretch your legs and to have a coffee stop on our portable stove. In the wide expanse of Lake Skadar between theatrical-like scenery of mountains, you may see curly pelicans - large and very beautiful birds. Next, kayak into the winding Rijeka (river) Crnojevicha, nestled between mountains, which is one of the highlights of Lake Skadar. Conclude the water adventure near the town of Rijeka Crnojevica. After a pre-ordered dinner (based on a set menu, not included), return to Budva, completing a picturesque excursion filled with natural beauty and birdwatching opportunities.

Itinerary: • We begin this tour in Žabljak Crnojevića, a settlement founded in the 10th century. • Our view will be lured by the remains of a fortress dating from the 15th century. • We head across the Ceklin field to the village of Dodoši, which is adorned with magical natural beauties, stone houses, narrow winding roads, cones… Unreal landscapes and authentic landscapes for years are attracting and delighting an increasing number of tourists visiting this area. • We continue towards the Kom Monastery, founded in 1415, the only monastery on the lake that was never damaged in the war. The monastery is home to Father Philip Klikovac, who looks forward to visiting people who come to this place. • From the monastery, take the road through the woods to Biševina – a paradise for the eyes, in search of wild horses with the option of refreshing by swimming in the lake. • After visiting the ruins of the fortress, which offers an impressive view of the fields and the lake from the raised hill, you can have a lunch at a restaurant with traditional specialties. You can make your own barbecue in the shade of the trees. • Driving to the city of your accommodation. • The end of the tour.
