Full description
Rise early to travel the short distance to a desert location overlooking Uluru. Your driver/guide will provide insights and the background to the art installation. Under the cover of darkness, wander through the pathways that encompass the 50,000 spheres of light in the desert, before making your way up the hill to the Dune Top viewing area. Watch the amazing transformation of colours and life as the desert awakens, while enjoying tea, coffee or hot chocolate. Then as the first rays of sunlight creep across the desert sky, gaze in awe as the sun rises in the distance behind Uluru, flooding the landscape, including Kata Tjuta behind you, with light. You’ll have an incredible view through stunning desert landscape as the sun rises over the Red Centre. As the natural light brightens the landscape, the Field of Light will dim for the day. Dex & Hans welcomed us sleepy voyagers and gave us many laughs as we drive out to the Field of Lights. What a marvelous way to start a day in the Outback. Bruce Munro’s light installation was incredible and the sunrise over Uluru was so special. Seeing her cloaked in cloud as the sun rose made for unique and beautiful photos. So wonderful to have a hot coffee as we watched the sunrise. Hands done one of the best activities to do in the NT.

Was good but as our driver had to wait for people that weren't at the pick up time I felt we lost about 10mins of our precious time. If your NOT there bus should not wait not fair on the rest of the passengers So was disappointed that light's started to fade. Others also commented on the timing factor!!!

Worth the early morning rise to catch the Field of Lights in its glory. Tush the greeting guide and host was helpful. Vinnie our driver was the best - great sense of humour, takes fantastic photos Instgram ready, lots of info about the installation. The Lights were impressive as an artwork as well as an engineering feat.
