Yulara

See both the beauty of Uluru and Kata Tjutaon this helicopter experience. This tour will showcase Kata Tjuta, which means 'many heads'. It is made up of a group of 36 conglomerate rock domes, the highest of which stands 198 meters taller than Uluru. Rise early to travel the short distance to a desert location overlooking Uluru. Your driver/guide will provide insights and the background to the art installation. Under the cover of darkness, wander through the pathways that encompass the 50,000 spheres of light in the desert, before making your way up the hill to the Dune Top viewing area. Watch the transformation of colors and life as the desert awakens, while enjoying tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. Gaze in awe as the sun rises in the distance behind Uluru and the first rays of sunlight creep across the desert sky. See the landscape, including Kata Tjuta behind you, be flooded with light. Enjoy a comfortable transfer from your hotel to the base of Uluru. Upon arrival at the Segway base area, your tour guide will provide you with comprehensive Segway training. You'll take part in a short safety briefing and have a practice ride on your Segway. Afterward, you'll be ready for your guided tour of the magical Uluru, also known by its non-native name, Ayers Rock. Departing from Kuniya carpark located at the base of Uluru, you'll be led by your fully qualified and knowledgeable guide into the iconic Mutitjulu Waterhole to explore the sights and sounds. This is one of Uluru's lesser-known hidden gems. Then quietly and effortlessly cruise around the entire base of Uluru on your Segway. Take in all the highlights of the rock and learn about local Anangu culture, flora, fauna, geology, and the European history of the area from your knowledgeable guides. Travel from Ayers Rock Resort to the beautiful Kings Canyon in Watarrka National Park, stopping for breakfast at Kings Creek Station along the way. Once at Kings Canyon, you'll make the rock climb to its rim for some marvelous views of Watarrka National Park and the spectacular surroundings. Follow the rim of the canyon along the 3-hour circuit walk, stopping to look down into the canyon gorge at various look-out points along the way. Time permitting, you may choose to descend into the green oasis of the 'Garden of Eden.' While the tour is recommended for those with a good level of fitness, you may opt for the easier, shorter walk to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor. Then, you can grab lunch at your own expense. Finally, begin your return journey to Ayers Rock Resort.

Embark on a sightseeing Segway tour of Uluru and learn about local Aboriginal culture, flora, fauna, geology, and history with an expert guide. Upon arrival at the Segway base area, learn the basics of driving a segway with the help of your experienced guide. Once ready, glide around the entire base of Uluru. Take in all the highlights of the rock and learn about local Anangu culture, flora, fauna, geology, and the European history of the area. Get up close and personal with picturesque landscape, ancient Aboriginal culture, and the history of Uluru. Immerse yourself in the outback landscape that the Central Australian region is famous for.

Even if you have walked around Uluru, you won't fully apprecaite the awesome spectacle of this monolith until you see it from the air. You will be able to take photos that you will treasure forever through unique bubble windows. Upon pick-up from your hotel in an air-conditioned transfer coach, you will be driven to the Ayers Rock airport where your crew will provide you with a thorough brief on helicopter safety prior to boarding the helicopter.  After boarding the helicopter, you will then be flown to discover the awe-inspiring scenery of Uluru and its surroundings. Exceptional visibility is frequent in the Red Centre - witness the breathtaking vastness and stunning contrasts of the Australian desert landscape. 

Sit back and relax as you travel into the amazing Uluru National Park. When you arrive at the Uluru Sunset viewing platform, be greeted by a selection of Australian wines and a cheese board as you begin to absorb the beauty of your surroundings. Find your ideal spot, and then just sit back and relax as you watch the sun disappear behind the horizon and change the colors of the rocks in a million splendid ways. After sunset, you will be transferred to an exclusive barbecue site. The site is located far enough away from the resort lights to provide a clear view of the stars in the southern sky. Relax in the company of friends and fellow travelers on beautiful white tablecloths, enjoying sparkling wine. Dine on an Australian gourmet barbecue menu of steak, kangaroo meat, lamb sausages, chicken skewers and garlic prawns, salads, and a tasty dessert. All accompanied by a selection of red and white wines, beer, and soft drinks.  After dinner, tea, coffee, and dessert will be served and your guide will conduct a tour of the night sky, describing and pointing out some of the visible constellations with the assistance of a high beam spotlight. The guide will also explain some Aboriginal stories that relate to the stars before you return to Ayers Rock Resort. 

Enjoy an unforgettable evening in the Australian outback! Be picked up from Ayers Rock Resort accommodation approx 75 minutes prior to sunset and travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Enjoy a sparkling or white wine (or non-alcoholic beverages) and take in the beautiful sunset, while your dinner is prepared by your guides. Your dinner will be a freshly cooked Outback barbecue to be enjoyed while you marvel at the view. Feast on barbecued meats and accompaniments (salads and sides).  Uluru is famous the world over for its spectacular sunsets. Watch as the rock changes color before your very eyes. After dinner, you will be transferred back to the resort and dropped off at your hotel.

See the incredible Kings Canyon from above on an exciting 15-minute helicopter flight! Keep your camera poised as you swoop low over the Kings Canyon and enjoy startling views of the Lost City, the Garden of Eden, Kings Creek and Carmichael Crag in an air-conditioned helicopter. Starting from the resort pad, you will fly through the Watarkka National Park, taking in the front view of the George Gill Range. Your flight follows Kings Creek up into Kings Canyon where you can see the paths for the Kings Creek walk and the Rim walk from above. Enjoy the spectacular view of the 100 metre high cliff walls, the Garden of Eden and the Domes of the Lost City. During the flight, your pilot will point out the incredible scenery along the way.  The return leg of your flight takes you alongside Carmichael's Crag and the Dingo pups for incredible views out over this impressive landscape. The sky will come alive with marvellous colors as you fly over the mix of rugged bushland and red sand desert. Your pilot will return you to Kings Canyon at the end of your flight.

Get picked up from the Ayers Rock Resort and journey by luxury coach with an on-board toilet to the sacred rock of Uluru. Make your way towards the majestic domes of Kata-Tjuta for your first walk of the day. Visit the Cultural Centre and learn about the local Pitjantjatjara people before going to Uluru (Ayers Rock) to take part in a base walk. Follow the Mala walk along the northwest face of the rock to see fine examples of Anangu rock art.  Then, head to the Mutitjulu Waterhole for your 2nd base walk at the home of an ancestral watersnake called Wanampi. Share some stories of the local traditions and learn about the legendary Dreamtime. Sip a glass of sparkling wine and take in the beautiful sunset while your dinner is prepared by your guides.
