It was certainly worth getting up early to beat the crowds and heat at Chichen Itza. Marco, our tour guide, was an absolute delight! He kept the conversation interesting and had a wealth of knowledge about the history of the Mayans. I was a little worried because they accidentally charged my card twice for the US$24 monument fee, but Marco took care of it instantly! Very genuine and overall a great experience! Also, if you don’t get a confirmation on where exactly you’ll be picked up, just call them that morning and they will let you know :) Obviously you won’t get to see the entire site, but you’ll see and learn about the most popular ruins there. Plus, you’ll have about 30ish minutes at the end to explore for yourself. This is a great option for those that don’t feel comfortable venturing out to Chichen Itza by themselves. Highly recommend!
The bus was very comfortable. Alfredo was an excellent driver. The tour was fascinating, and engaging. Marco did a wonderful job of educating us and entertaining us at the same time. Plus, by leaving early, we arrived right before the site opened. We were the first tour group into the site. It was great to see this marvel with so few others there. We would definitely recommend Amigo Tours. Especially Marco and Alfredo!
A unique tour in a beautiful bus named Gua Gua. The tour guide was awesome, he told us the most fun facts and interesting facts of the city. And we were able to visit neighborhoods that are not that common for tourists. Merida is a beautiful city that must be seen in a sightseeing tour in a Gua Gua
It was so beautiful to get to know local people from Tekit’s town and participate in their daily life. We learned so much from Tekit’s community. We recommend this tour so much!
The entrance fee was not included, the guide charged extra 406 pesos/person for so called cultural fee. Lunch and water were after the hottest part at Chichen Itza.
