The York day pass was really good as you save on overall tickets to events and shows in York. Just make sure when you book for dates that they don't start the pass straight away as we had that problem when we booked the York Cocoa Experience. Overall well worth getting

Would 100% recommend!! My first time in York and the York pass is definitely worth it. I would say book and plan, although activities are fairly close to each other we needed to book over the October half term, plus the taxi companies all said it is a very busy city all the time. Do as much as you can and we managed to do some spontaneous things too. York minster had a light show on one night £7. We also managed to do a cocktail experience in the potion shop we paid just over £20 and so worth it!

Fab value for money. I'd only say that you should DEFINITELY book things in advance. Especially the river cruise and the Minster. The Cocoa experience was really good but I wouldn't take children under 10. We enjoyed the immersive Van Gogh experience (again book) and Clifford's Tower (no need to book). Most things are within walking distance so we didn't use the bus but we are happy tourists! And don't forget to have a look at The Shambles area. Lots of query shops.
