Visit Kamakura, Japan's first feudal capital from 12th century to 14th century on a day trip.
What to Expect
You will start the tour from the JR Kamakura station. The Kamakura district, located at south of the Tokyo city center (it takes about 1 hour from Tokyo by train), was known for Samurai town. Many temples and shrines are made in 12th to 14th centuries. Today, the area is one of the most popular one day trip sites from Tokyo.
In this tour, at first you will move to the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu shrine which locates the center of Kamakura and provides a good photo taking spot for visitors. A lot of people come there and pray for the fortune. Then visit Komachi dori street which has many shops and food stands. Let's see and learn Japanese traditional culture. Then move to Hase temple and Kotokuin temple area. You will see Daibutsu(big Buddha), it's made from the middle of 13th century and 2nd biggest in Japan next to Nara's.
While walking with your friendly guide, you will understand Japanese culture as well. You would be refreshed by the atmosphere of Kamakura.
