I had an excellent tour! Everything was very well organized by the tour company and the very reliable and knowledgeable driver and guide. All the sites we visited were fabulous, starting from the Buddhist and Hindu temples around Yogjakarta to the impressive volcanoes in East Java. Yogjakarta has a lot to offer and I feel I could have spent a day or two more there. Consider arriving a few days before starting the tour to explore the city. The way from Yogjakarta to the volcanoes is quite long, but it gives you a chance to sit back in the car, observe local life and learn about the country and its culture from the local guide.
I first have to point out my guide. He was the greatest and really informative. I enjoyed talking to him and he answered some very hard questions of Yogyakarta. So I send a big hearted "Thank You" to YUNI, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Jurang Tembelan is a nice beautiful place to take pictures. I enjoyed the time i had at Pine Forest. However, the most exceptional place in this tour was the TIMANG BEACH, the views really amazing and stunning, the gondola ride is worth to try but challenging. All in all, you must take this tour if you want to find some alternative activity while you in Yogyakarta.
Our driver Fariz was really nice. On our way to the Borobodur he told us about the Indonesian culture and different kinds of fruit. He even stopped to let us taste some fruit and showed us the fruit trees. The communication was very clear and Fariz always told us where he was and if we needed something. At the Kalibri parc we forgot our money downstairs in the car and he even lend us some money. On the way back to our hostel, Fariz even gave us some advice for our next destinations in Indonesia. Thank you Fariz for this amazing day and experience. We recommend Fariz to everyone!
Beautiful area about a scenic 2 hours drive from Yogyakarta. Locals are friendly and have installed paths and viewing platforms for visitors from the entry funds. Consider giving an extra donation for them to continue the great work. The temple itself is small but this tour is about the amazing views along the 30 minute hike up to the temple from the village. The walk is steep and slippery in some parts so have good hiking shoes. My guide was very knowledgeable and had good relationships with the locals villagers.
I booked my tour without really knowing what I was going to see. I was greeted by my friendly driver, Yuni, who had a lot knowledge on Yogyakarta history and culture. The views were beautiful and the island at Timang Beach was awesome. If you can afford it, get the lobster meal there. Yuni even took me to some extra stops at some rice terraces and another grest lookout over the city. I booked another tour with this company as soon as I got back. Thanks for a great tour!
