Tour very nice ! The temple is simply amazing. They don't let you climb to the top, but just around the temple and is much better like this as we need to leave it for next generations also. What is to be seen can be seen from around, but must have a guide to explain.

My guide, Haryoto was really friendly and knowledgeable. During the ride he told me a lot about the culture of Java and history of Borobudur Temple. On the way back I could have a really nice nap in the backseat feeling safe ! As a solo traveller who is staying here for work with not a lot of time, it was a perfect quick but insightful AM activity. Haryoto's car was really clean and so comfy!! But hey GET YOUR GUIDE I really hope you are paying him a decent price! This activity was very expensive compared to similar ones with driver and car. So i hope this in not all going to commission but back to the locals : ) One more note - I booked my tour in the afternoon of one day prior, so I was really impressed when the tour was confirmed immediately and Haryoto actually showed up! The private tour with Didi was great. We had a great conversation with the tour guide to and from our hotel. On our way home he asked us if we wanted to go the same way home or go via the scenic route with rice fields which we took. He also asked if he wanted to get some kopi luwak which we were talking about on the way there. So we stopped for a cup on the way home. There are other tours/options to visit the Borobudur Temple but this one was worth it.
