Full description

Begin your day with pickup from your hotel and head to Setumbu Hill to witness the breathtaking Borobudur sunrise. When the air is fresh and as the mist begins to lift, the sun will surround the volcanoes and terraced fields.

After watching sunrise on Setumbu Hill, you will have free time before you granted for climbing up the structure of the Borobudur temple. During your free time, your driver will seek for you some alternatives to passing the time in between. Then, you will explore the UNESCO-listed Borobudur Temple on a guided group tour.

After visiting Borobudur, you will travel for 1.5 - 2 hours to Prambanan Temple. Spend 2 hours exploring Prambanan. This temple was built in the tenth century, this is the largest temple compound dedicated to Shiva in Indonesia.
See the three temples decorated with reliefs illustrating the epic of the Ramayana, dedicated to the three great Hindu divinities of Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. You will also see three temples dedicated to the animals who serve them.

Once you have finished your trip, sit back and relax while your driver escorts you back to your accommodation in Yogyakarta.

There was so much more involved in the trip than I expected. Ben was a fantastic tour guide with so much knowledge, and he went above and beyond for us at every chance possible. He had so much knowledge and made the temples really interesting and really clear so we knew what we were doing. He also very kindly added in some additional stops for us. Couldn’t have had a better experience!
