Full description
Be picked up from your hotel and head to Setumbu Hill to witness the breathtaking Borobudur sunrise. When the air is fresh and as the mist begins to lift, the sun will surround the volcanoes and terraced fields. After sunrise, explore the UNESCO-listed Borobudur Temple, the single largest Buddhist structure on earth. Be the first of the day to enter the gates as they open. After visiting Borobudur, you will travel for 1.5 - 2 hours to Prambanan Temple. Spend 2 hours exploring Prambanan. This temple was built in the tenth century, this is the largest temple compound dedicated to Shiva in Indonesia. See the three temples decorated with reliefs illustrating the epic of the Ramayana, dedicated to the three great Hindu divinities of Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. You will also see three temples dedicated to the animals who serve them. After finishing exploring Prambanan, you can opt to choose to head back directly to the hotel, or stop for lunch on the journey back.

Our guide was Ipung, and she was always cheerful and willing to answer any questions. She was also flexible and allowed us to take as much time as needed in each place we visited. She provided additional recommendations and made sure we all were enjoying the experience. Would definitely recommend!

We took the excursion with Yudha, and the truth is that we couldn't have had a better guide. He was charming, punctual, professional, understanding and flexible with our preferences, and explained many things to us about the temples and culture of the country. One of the best guides I have had in a long time, he was a 10. The excursion was well organized and we arrived in time to see the sunrise, although in our case it was not very spectacular. If I were to do the tour again I would not recommend going so early to see the sunrise as it was not very pretty. We were able to see the temples calmly and receiving interesting explanations, which was very good. In short, a very good experience, I would recommend it.

We had a wonderful day trip with our guide Ipung. She took us to see a microindustry as well as the two temple complexes, gave an excellent overview of the temple complexes, their cultural significance and their restoration processes. She also answered all our questions (ranging from farming to religious practices). Ipung also took us to a great lunch spot where we had a lovely view and delicious food, we also separately got to try Luwak coffee and learn how it is processed. The car had good AC and the drive was comfortable. 10/10 recommend this tour :)
