Be picked up from your hotel in Yogyakarta in the early morning and head to Setumbu Hill. Witness the breathtaking sunrise views overlooking Borobudur Temple. When the air is fresh and as the mist begins to lift the sun will surround the volcanoes and terraced fields. You will leave at dawn.

After the sunrise on Setumbu Hill, you will enter the Borobudur Temple and explore the UNESCO-listed Borobudur Temple, the single largest Buddhist structure on earth with a knowledgeable local guide. Be the first of the day to enter the gates as they open. This is one of the world's greatest ancient monuments.

Once you have finished exploring Borobudur Temple, ask your driver and do not miss the chance to stop for an optional visit to the nearby Mendut and Pawon Temples, which are positioned in a straight line with Borobudur for an unknown ritual process, before your friendly driver take you back to your hotel in Yogyakarta.

Himaean was our tour guide and took great care of us. He didn’t miss a single detail and was very attentive throughout. He took us to Borobudur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site — definitely worth visiting. Watching the sunrise there is also an unforgettable experience.
