If you're a fan of Ice Pilots, the next destination will surely impress you as we explore the Buffalo Hangar 'Home of the Ice Pilots,' and browse through their distinctive gift shop. (Hanger not available on Saturday-Sunday). A visit to Yellowknife wouldn't be complete without exploring the local wildlife. We visit Nature's North Wildlife Gallery "home of a Grolar or Pizzly, a cross between a polar bear and grizzly bear", to discover a variety of NWT species north of the 60th parallel. Later, we'll watch a brief film at the NWT Diamond & Jewelry Centre to discover why Yellowknife is known as the 'Diamond Capital of North America'. Have you heard about quirky Old Town Yellowknife? It is often called the heart of Yellowknife and is a charming historical neighbourhood. During the winter months from January to March, there is an opportunity for us to drive on the ice road and visit the ice castle (subject to yearly weather conditions). To conclude our tour, guests can choose to be dropped off at Old Town for further exploration, where they can savor a delightful meal at Bullocks Bistro (reservations recommended), or they can opt to be transported back to their hotel or BnB. Explore Yellowknife's backcountry on a snowmobile tour. Glide through snow and under frost-covered trees to stops with charming wintertime landscape views. Begin your experience with a pickup from your accommodation in Yellowknife. Hop aboard a climate-controlled van and relax as your drive to the base camp for your snowmobiling adventure. Once arrived, listen to a short safety briefing that will help you to feel confident during your ride. Then, suit up in the provided winter gear.  Get on your double snowmobile for a tour that rushes through the fresh snow of Yellowknife's backcountry which is part of the Northwest Territories. Set out for an exhilarating ride with photo stops. This trip rides through a snow forest with exceptional lake views. Admire the incredible nature surrounding Yellowknife before returning to the base camp to take the van back to your accommodation.

Enjoy a scenic drive along highway 3 heading south. We will search for bison, in world's largest free roaming herds. A light picnic lunch will be provided along with snack and beverage. The tour will take between 4-6 hours depending on where we see the bison first. We will drive in one direction for a maximum 3 hours. After the tour you will be dropped-off at your chosen pick-up location. Hopefully we may also see black bears, porcupines...etc. Group of 4 will travel by SUV; Group of 6+ will travel by luxury coach.

Cameron Falls We will enjoy a 45-minute drive along the historic Ingraham Trail. The hike into the falls is approximately 20 minutes. Moderate physical fitness is required. We are climbing large rock surfaces, and there are some steep inclines to tackle. Most all hikers can do the hike and can be taken at a very leisurely pace. The well-marked trail leads you to the spectacular waterfall of the Cameron River cascading 17 vertical meters. We may encounter spruce grouse, whiskey jacks, (gray jays), snowshoe hares. In addition, enjoy serene beauty of the wilderness. The tour is approximately 3.5 hours which includes transfer to and from the waterfalls (about 2 hours driving). We provide bug repellant, water and bear bangers for the hike. Tour is offered May 15 to Sep 15th. We do not offer the tour during the winter season.
