Xcaret Park opens all year, from 08:30 to 21:30. It is located 36 miles (60kilometers) south of Cancun's International Airport, 3.6 miles (6 kilometers) from Playa del Carmen and 34 miles (57 kilometers) north of Tulum. You can arrive by car (free parking lot), or take a taxi from Cancún, which will cost between USD 80 and USD 100 (one way). The journey will take about 70 minutes to get to the park. Travel time from Playa del Carmen is about 15 minutes and a taxi will cost approximately USD 15. You can also take a bus from the Bus Station in Cancun (Uxmal Avenue) and in Playa del Carmen (5th Avenue).

Good experience. However, be careful, no guide was present with us. We weren't allowed to. Also, you should not expect an amusement park but rather an animal park. The park is really beautiful but most of the activities are extra. So there is still a lot of money to add to do some activities.

The activities were good but best to check out ahead of time with the map if possible. That would be nice to have the QR code on get your guide. There were 2 shows, both same. But if I had known this then I would have gone for the later time so that I could do the activities in daylight. If you purchased buffet, there were 7 options of restaurants to pick from which was nice. The park is vast so planning your route based on color coded pathways is highly advisable. Do all the water activities first so you can dry up for the rest of the day.

A great park to discover nature, animals and spend time in the water. The aviary is exceptional, the colorful Mexican cemetery and the aquatic rivers very nice. A wonderful day to do absolutely when you come to Mexico.
