Much deepened my understanding of the Jewish quarter

I booked this walking tour at the last minute - 2 hours before the tour. I got an instant e-mail confirmation, including a map of the meeting place (which was right by the market square in the Old Town). The tour itself was excellent. It turned out that I was the only customer! So, it became a private tour. The guide, Konrad, was very knowledgeable and friendly. I learned quite a bit of the history of the Jewish neighborhood, the residents' forceful relocation to the ghetto across the river, and the contemporary challenges of reclaiming the neighborhood. I was originally planning to walk around on my own, but I'm very glad that I chose to do the tour. Definitely worth it.

Konrad was fantastic, informative and great company for 3 hours.

The tour exceeded my expectations. We were staying in Kazimierz and knew there was history all around us but our guide Konrad really brought the stories to life. To hear the stories whilst you're in the exact same spot years later was unforgettable. This was my first guided tour and I'm wondering why I didn't do these tours years ago. It was a hot day and Konrad gave us time for coffee and comfort breaks. In fact he gave more than 3 hours of his time. 10 out of 10 for value for money, knowledge and enjoyment. Konrad's English was perfect.

Excellent tour with an excellently informed and personable guide.

This was an excellent tour, giving us more than just an historic insight into Krakow and the war years. The guide was superb in contextualising the history of the city from the early modern period through to the second world war, within the general political scene of Poland and the country's place in the current European situation. The guide was an excellent communicator and wanted to engage the thoughts of those on the tour. He used the audience well and adapted his input to the needs of the group and their questioning.

Good - but we have some suggestions for improvement

Alex was a very nice guy, but he needs to learn three small rules, in our opinion: 1. if he is 10 minutes late, the first thing he should do is apologise - he did not apologise at all 2. he should not arrive smoking a cigarette and throw it in the street as he greets his guests 3. he should not be looking down at the little gadget which plays the English commentary, when he should be looking at the road!

Very good. Live interactive map showing when the next bus was due.

Nice bus, good service. Clear audio recording. The buses aren't allowed in the city centre so you don't see the main sights. Good as a hop on hop off service. Also included was a free 30 minute river gondola cruise which was really lovely and free entry into Galacia Museum. Very interesting photographic exhibition. Go to Bagalmamas for lunch and a drink, just a few doors down from the museum.
