Wilmington is full of bars and pubs, but also has a handful of truly hidden gems to venture into at night... and we want to show you some of them! Add to that a fun and interesting way to travel from place to place... after all, who wouldn't want to roll up in a group on e-bikes and park right in front, VIP style? Even for non-drinkers, this is a great tour. Grab yourself a delicious mocktail and join this tour! During this tour, we will e-bike a total of 11-12 miles. Along the way, we'll be stopping in some of the area's most iconic bars, as well as one or two truly unique establishments (think unpretentious dive bars with interesting atmospheres). Whether they are known for their high-end cocktails and craft beers, delicious menus, energetic entertainment, or you've seen them in a movie or television show, these places are worth the stop. We will be spending approximately 30-40 minutes per stop. All tour attendees must be 21 year of age or older and must drink responsibly. After a brief safety and training session, you’ll be cycling the streets like a pro! Following your guide, you’ll cruise down the historic River to Sea Bikeway. This route is an 11-mile on and off-road bicycle route that follows the Historic Beach Car Line. Soak up gorgeous views of the Cape Fear River, Wilmington Riverwalk, Downtown, and so much more. Along the way, your guide will share interesting facts about the city and its roots. Need a boost? Let your e-bike do the work with an adjustable pedal assist! You’ll feel a wave of excitement as you pedal all the way to Wrightsville Beach and the picturesque shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Before making the journey back to town, you’ll stop in at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort where you can choose to purchase lunch, lounge on the beach, or even rent a surfboard! After your ride, you’ll walk away with a new appreciation for Wilmington! The tour consists of: Up to 3 hours to relax at the resort, on the beach, or walk around the area This tour is open to riders 12 years of age and older. Minors must be accompanies by a guardian or parent. Using your smartphone, you'll be given a scavenger hunt list of items to find in the form of riddles and challenges to complete on our scavenger hunt app. You'll go look for the item described in the riddle, complete the accompanied challenge, and send in a photo to get points. Your points will show up on the app's leaderboard so you can see how you're doing compared to teams all across the country! Operation City Quest can be played in any city, no matter how big or small! Don't worry, you won't be alone. You'll have a remote host that will be communicating with you during your game via a chat feature on the app if you need help or have a question. They can also give you hints and additional *mystery* challenges!
