Explore the wild side of Curacao by enjoying this 2.5-hour buggy excursion on the northeast coast. Jump in your automatic buggy and follow the tour guide caravan-style to discover the untamed nature and secluded spots only accessible by off-road vehicle.
What to Expect
Take an off-road adventure in Curacao as you ride a buggy in a caravan along the rugged natural terrain on a 2.5-hour tour that takes you to historical sites indigenous to the land.
Begin your trip with a pre-tour orientation. After filling out a liability waiver, you will drive for 15 minutes down a country road. Take a turn onto an off-road coastal trail, and you'll be ready for adventure!
The off-road trail features beautiful desert-style cactus scenery. The first attraction you will see is the blowhole. Spend 15 minutes here to take pictures and learn information about this marvel of the coastline.
Your tour will continue onto the northern shore, where you can enjoy watching the magnificent waves crashing against the coast. The second attraction includes a visit to the Indian caves. Here, the tour guide will lead you to the top of the caves, from which there is an astonishing view of the entire area shoreline. If you're lucky and the air is not humid, it is possible to see the neighboring islands Bonaire and the "Castaway Island," Klein Curacao.
After enjoying the view, continue to the St. Joris Lake area, and visit the accompanying ostrich farm. You will have access to restrooms, refreshments, and a souvenir shop where it is possible to buy some aloe-vera products and ostrich souvenirs. After this, you will drive to the tour finish.
