What People Are Saying About Wieliczka Salt Mine
As time was limited we decided to complete two tours in one day. Choosing this option was ideal and although a long day, it was what we wanted. Hosts and guides were all very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Discover Crackow even rang me late in the evening the night before to tell me of a short delay in pick up time so saved me worrying the next day. I would recommend this for others with limited time but perhaps not for those with small children.
The day started with a pick up from our hotel in a luxury mini bus. We got a lot of interesting information from an on board video during the journey. Excellent guides giving us clear instructions when we arrived. The security queue was quite long when we arrived but nobody minded as we understand the reasons for this. Excellent guide and headphone information. Very poignant 3 hour trip. Have been 6 times now as we take groups to Kraków - this trip never fails to make a massive impact on us every time we visit.
We felt overwelmed about the auschwitz trip. It was very interesting and well Organized. The saltmines trip was pretty boring. It was taking to Long and the information wasn't really interesting. You van better use this time for renting a bike and exploring the City.
Long day with a lot of walking, but well worth it. Friendly informative tour guides.
Would recommend Auschwitz but not Salt mine which is too long and too touristic, you don't get the feeling of the work in the mine just wondowdressing too fool tourists to buy souvenirs.
